Richard E. Szydlo, age 83, of Riverside, IL. U.S. Army Veteran. Loving husband of Donna (nee Drs), cherished father of Joe (Betty) Szydlo, Suzanne (Nicole) Szydlo, Claudia (Bob) Hrody, revered grandfather of Sarah, John, Jimmy, Sasha, Frankie, Alex, and Daniel, beloved companion to labrador pal Buddy-Blue, dear brother of the late Stanley (Maura) Szydlo, Frances (the late Steve) Arden, Dolores (the late Emmett) Garrity, Charlene (the late Roger) Folkens, Marcia Rudny, the late Joan (the late Leonard) Nieman, the late Eugene (Arlene) Szydlo and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richard, with his brother Gene, was the co-founder of ENR General Machining Company in Chicago. Richard was a proud US Army Veteran, avid boater, skilled woodworker, expert metal fabricator, and man of strength and honor. Spending time with his family was his greatest love.
Visitation Monday, June 6, 2022, 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 9:15am Prayers at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. DesPlaines Avenue, North Riverside, to St. Mary Church, 10:00am Mass. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery's Information Center no later than 12:15pm.
