Richard L. "Dick" Murphy

Richard L. “Dick” Murphy, age 87 of Oak Park, formerly of Chicago. Beloved husband of the late Laverne A. (nee Grisanti) Murphy, loving father of Anne Ryan, Mary Ellen (Brian) McGuire, Amy Rosten, Ric (Aimee Conlee) Murphy and the late Meg Murphy, cherished grandfather of Jessica Ryan, Andrew (Molly), Brendan (Kristi), Caileigh and Bella McGuire and Jillian, Liam and Ava Rosten, dear brother of the late Paul T. (Marcia) Murphy, fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richard was a proud graduate of John Carroll University, class of 1957 and served on the John Carroll Scholarship committee for many years. He was a member of Village Players, Free Readers Theater, Marriage Encounter and West Suburban P.A.D.S.. He enjoyed gardening, live theater, dancing and live music. He was an avid Cubs fan. Visitation Friday, March 4th, 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. DesPlaines Avenue, North Riverside. Visitation Saturday, March 5th, 10:00am – 11:00am at St. Bernardine Church, 7246 Harrison Street, Forest Park. Funeral Mass 11:00am. Services will conclude following the Funeral Mass. Cremation Private.
