Jeanne Lorraine Keegan

Jeanne Lorraine Keegan, born September 13, 1931, at rest January 11, 2022. Beloved sister of Annamae Berkery, Marjorie Keegan, Rosemary Chap, Isobel Burke, and Robert Keegan, long-time partner of Bill Autry, devoted sister-in-law, and faithful friend to many, loving aunt of 17, great aunt of 29 and great-great aunt of 16 (she was “Aunt Jeanne” to 62 of us)  Besides doting on her nieces and nephews, Jeanne loved traveling, pursuing family genealogy, reading her morning Tribune, watching Jeopardy, and working puzzles. She especially enjoyed operas and musicals. Aunt Jeanne loved a good meal, a tasty drink and had a world class sweet tooth. She was a giving  supporter of many charities, and her generosity to all was unsurpassed. As a proud former financial analyst at Walter Heller Co, our “cool aunt” Jeanne lived many years in a  Chicago North side high-rise, worked in the city, and shopped at all the best stores in the Loop. She was  a forerunner and model of a successful, independent woman. She will be greatly missed!
