James C. Brosseau, age 71, a lifelong resident of North Riverside, U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, passed away November 16th after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Carole (nee Piha) Brosseau, loving father of Deborah L. and Linda M. Brosseau. James served in the Air Force intelligence and information capacities during the Vietnam War and was later appointed by Presidents Reagan and Clinton to the U.S. Selective Service Board. He was an editor for Billboard Publications, a Young & Rubicam executive and the Executive Vice President at North American Precis Syndicate for more than 55 years. James served on the police, pension, North Riverside Mall security and scholarship boards in North Riverside, a village his grandfather helped establish and in which he lived his whole life. He was also an avid Formula car racer and instructor. Funeral Wednesday, November 21, 9:00am from Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home 2447 S. DesPlaines Ave., North Riverside to St. Mary Church, Mass 9:30am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Riverside Youth and Education Scholarship Fund 2401 S.
