George “Bud” Velichko

George Thomas ‘Bud’ Velichko, age 70, of Berwyn. Born 13 Oct 1944 in Chicago, he’s now at rest 3 June 2015. Bud served in the US Air force. He’s a retired employee of Sun Chemical, where he was an mechanic. He was a member of Berwyn’s Care & Share and Bob Briskey’s Photo Group. His parents were the late Joseph and Bernice (nee Brozek) Poshwenchuk and was adopted by the late Sophie (nee Poshwenchuk) Velichko Lullo. He was predeceased by brothers: Frank Brozek and Phil Lullo. Beloved by his long-time commanion, Marcia McLawhorn; Loving father of five chidren: Paul (Jacki) Velichko, Loren (Chuck) Zemeckis, Paula, Patty, and June Hood; and proud grandfather of 10. Dear brother of Robert Velichko. Visitation Sunday, June 7th from 3-8pm at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. DesPlaines Ave, North Riverside, IL. June 8th at 9am, his funeral will start at the Funeral Home the procession to his final resting place in Evergreen Cemetery, 3401 W 87th St, Evergreen Park, IL. Memorials could be given to the charity of your choice, Bud was always supportive of the veterans.
