Edward Michniewicz

Edward S. Michniewicz Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13th at 8pm at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL. A cancer survivor, Amtrak locomotive mechanic, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is loved and will be missed very much.

Edward leaves behind his two sons Jason and Jeremiah, Jason’s wife Helen (Velesiotis), three beautiful granddaughters Anna, Ella and Mia, his great love in life Mandi, his mother Victoria (Lesniak), his twin brother Richard and wife Pam (Greminger), his sister Rosemary and husband Jody, Goddaughter Abbie, niece Rachel, nephew Jonathan and numerous cousins and countless friends who mourn beyond words.

His death was preceded by his father Edward Sr., beloved uncle Stanley and sister Mary Ann. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests you donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.ofg, in memory of Ed.

Services (visitation) will be Sunday 2-8pm at Adolf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2921 S. Harlem Avenue, Berwyn 60402. The funeral will be Monday morning at Adolf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, prayers at 9:15am with Funeral Mass at 10am, Mater Christi Church, followed by burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery. The family invites you to share a celebration of Ed’s life with lunch following the burial.
