Catherine Ryba 9/19/1942 – 5/5/2020

Catherine Ryba, nee Luizzo, age 77 was taken home to be with our Heavenly Father on May 5, 2020. She was born September 19, 1942 in Chicago. Raised in Little Italy on Taylor St. Here she met and married the love of her life, late husband Milton S. on May 23, 1964, where they began their young family. It wasn’t long before they moved to Cicero and completed their family. Catherine lost her love at the age of 42. She never remarried. Alone she raised six children. She is the dearest daughter of the late Dominick and the late Mary Grace (nee Napolitano) Luizzo, loving mother of Frank (Kathy), Carl (Betty), Daniel (Lorie), Suzanne (Morlow) Mounts, Milton S. Jr. (Lynn) and Marygrace (Robert) Pechtold, cherished grandmother of Jessica (Michael) Ohst, Franckie Ryba, Jesse Mounts, Abigail Ryba, Ryan Ryba, Justin Ryba, Carlie Ryba, Haley Ryba, Coraline Pechtold, Giulia Pechtold, Lilly Mounts and great grandmother of Myleigh Ryba, Aron Chimmy, Aubrey Ohst and Nathaniel Ryba, dear sister of Antoinette (late Peter) Lajoy, Maryann (Nick) Senese and the late Peter “Dan” Luizzo, fond aunt of Peter (Beth) Lajoy, Elizabeth Kohr, Dominick (Cindy) Lajoy and Nicole Senese, great aunt to several nieces and nephews and good friend to many. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Private Graveside Service and Interment, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
