Arthur Petersen

Arthur Edward Petersen, age 69 of Lyons, formerly of Forest Park.  Beloved father of Tami Donaldson and Art (April) Petersen, cherished grandfather of Danjae and Leeland, dear brother of Gregory (Haregewoin) Brauer and fond uncle of Matthew Brauer, Allison Brauer and Cheryl (Eliot) Triantos.  Arthur was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a combat war veteran having received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.  Arthur was a hero in every sense of the word.  Visitation Thursday, March 9, 5:00pm until time of Chapel Service, 8:00pm at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. DesPlaines Avenue, North Riverside. Funeral Friday, March 10, 10:30am Service and Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W.
